Refund Policy

Effective · Version 2026-10-09

In short: plans renew monthly until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time. We don't refund time you have already paid for, except where the law requires it or we didn't provide the service. If something went wrong, write to support@postplant.org.

1. Who sells the plans

Polar (polar.sh) sells Postplant's plans for us as the merchant of record. You pay Polar, and Polar handles the payment, tax and invoices, and sends any refund. Polar's buyer terms cover the payment, and our Terms of Service cover the plan itself.

2. How billing works

Paid plans are billed monthly in US dollars. A plan renews on the same day each month until you cancel it. The pricing page shows the current prices.

3. How to cancel

Go to Settings, then Billing, and choose Manage subscription. That opens Polar's billing portal, where you can cancel. You keep your plan until the end of the month you paid for, and you won't be charged again.

If you change your mind before that month ends, choose Resume subscription in Settings, under Billing. Only the person who bought a Team plan can cancel or resume it.

4. Refunds

We don't refund time you have already paid for, including the rest of the month after you cancel. There are two exceptions:

  • when the law where you live gives you a right to a refund;
  • when we didn't provide the service you paid for.

If something went wrong, write to support@postplant.org. Tell us the email address on your account and what happened. We read every request, and we may refund when it's fair even where we don't have to.

Polar may also refund a payment on its own, within 60 days of it, for example to settle a dispute.

5. Switching plans

  • Moving up from Personal to Team: you pay the prorated difference straight away.
  • Moving from Team to Personal: the unused part of what you paid for Team becomes credit on your account and goes toward your next invoices. It isn't refunded to your card.

6. Customers in the EU and the UK

If you live in the EU or the UK, the law usually gives you 14 days to cancel an online purchase and get your money back. Your plan starts as soon as you buy it, so if you cancel within those 14 days, you may get your money back minus the part you already used. Write to support@postplant.org to ask. Nothing in this policy takes away rights your local law gives you.

7. Free weeks and codes

A free week, a redeem code or any other free access has no cash value. It can't be refunded or exchanged for money.

8. Before you dispute a charge

Please write to us before you dispute a charge with your bank or card provider. We can usually sort it out faster, and a dispute may suspend your plan while it is open.

9. Contact

Questions about billing or refunds go to support@postplant.org.
